A Review: Sugarpill Pressed Eye Shadows

Hi everybody, I've been preparing for this review for quit sometime now. This is my first full review on Anything  EVER so please, If any thing isn't the way it should be feel free to let me know. I'll try my best here, Oh I'm So Excited. ^_^

OK, So I've seen so many looks, super amazing looks, on this makeup community website makeupbee.com -more on that in another post- and was impressed at how bright and colourful those looks were. I noticed that most of them were done using Sugarpill Pressed Eye Shadows so I decided to try them myself. I -on the first glance- ordered both of their palettes online (lucky for me they have free worldwide shipment ^_^)

Here are photos of the palettes:

and here are the swatches of all the colours in natural light:

So to make this easier to read I'll write the pros and cons as lists.

Pros:
  • Very pigmented vibrant colours.
  • Smooth in texture and blends easily.
  • Colours can be mixed to create more colours.
  • Colour on skin almost matches the colour in the pan -there is a slight difference.
  • Each pan holds 4 grams/ 0.14 oz of product which is A LOT - compared to MUFE's 0.08 oz and MAC's 0.05
  • Palettes are sturdy and keep the shadows well protected in place while traveling.
  • The price for the palette -4 shadows- is $34, which means 8.5 for each colour, consedering the amount you get and the quality, that is a very reasonable price.
Cons:
  • The white colour -Tako- needs to be applied more than once to get an opaque result.
  • Some colours have very strong dye that will lightly stain the skin, even after removing with a strong makeup remover.
Overall rating:

Packaging: 5 out of 5
Product: 4.8 out of 5
Price: 5 out of 5

Finally here are a couple of looks that I did using these brilliant shadows :

Look 1:
Using all the colours in both palettes, I present to you : Sugarpill Rainbow

Look 2:
Using only Tako, Poison Plum and Dollipop here is : Poisoned Tako

I hope you found this review to be honest and helpful, and if you have any questions regarding the reviewed products please don't hesitate to ask. See you all soon, xoxo
